NEW DESIGN 2016
The critically endangered ‘ORANGE-BELLIED PARROT‘ is one of the rarest birds on the planet. It is one of only 2 migratory parrots in the world, breeding in southern Tasmania & flying across Bass Strait to feed in saltmarshes of Vic & SA coastline.
There are currently less than 50 in the wild. A captive-bred population across a number of facilities provides birds for release and may be an insurance against extinction in the wild.
